Product details
DRV8833 is a motor driver integrated circuit that can control two brushed DC motors in both directions. It operates within a voltage range of 2.7 V to 10.8 V. The device can provide a maximum of around 1.2 A per channel continuously and can handle peak currents of up to 2 A per channel for a short period of time. This makes it a suitable driver for small motors that operate on relatively low voltages. The board comes with SMD components already installed, including the DRV8833, and also includes a FET for protection against reverse batteries.
The DRV8833 has a greater maximum current rating (2 A per channel compared to 1.5 A), the possibility for built-in current-limiting, and does not require an externally provided logic voltage.
