Product details
The term “turbidity of water” describes the amount of turbidity brought on by suspended particles in the water, such as silt, clay, organic matter, plankton, and microbes. Turbidity metres and industrial-grade sensors are pricy, and the price is too high in the design of electrical gadgets. For this reason, we used a turbidity sensor that is frequently found in home appliances like washing machines and dishwashers. The sensor employs optical principles to thoroughly evaluate the turbidity in the solution based on the light transmittance and scattering rate. An infrared tube is located inside the sensor. The amount of light transmission through a given volume of water is a function of the water’s degree of turbidity. Water transmits less light when it is dirty.
The receiving end changes the transmitted light’s intensity into its equivalent current size. More light is transmitted, and more current is flowing. On the other hand, the current is weaker, and less light is transmitted.
Through the single-chip microcontroller, the turbidity sensor module processes the AD conversion data and transforms the current signal output by the sensor into a voltage signal. The remodelling module offers interfaces for both analogue and digital output. To determine the present level of water contamination, the single-chip A/D converter can sample and process the analogue quantity. The trigger threshold can be changed by adjusting the digital value using the module’s potentiometer. The D1 indicator will illuminate, the sensor module’s output will switch from high to low level, and the single-chip monitors the level shift when the turbidity surpasses the predetermined threshold. to ascertain whether the water’s turbidity exceeds the threshold in order to alert or connect other equipment. The module provides a high level of measurement precision, is affordable, and is simple to use. It can be used for environmental sewage collection, industrial field control, turbidity detection and control, as well as determining the level of water pollution caused by items like washing machines and dishwashers.
