The XL6009 regulator is a current-mode DC/DC converter with a wide input range that can generate either positive or negative output voltages. It can be set up as a boost, flyback, SEPIC, or inverting converter, depending on your needs. The XL6009’s current-mode architecture, which includes an N-channel power MOSFET and a constant frequency oscillator, ensures reliable performance over a wide range of supply and output voltages. The XL6009 regulator is designed specifically for use in portable electronic equipment.

Note:
Remember that the output current will be much lower than the input current (remember – W = VA) when utilising these modules. The input current will be roughly 3.6A if you have a 10V output at 1A from a 5V input. The greatest power you can pull out of these things in real life is roughly 10W.
