The Raspberry Pi Zero W is the Pi, but in a much smaller package (65mm long by 30mm wide) and at a much lower cost. The Raspberry Pi Zero W, with its wireless LAN and Bluetooth capabilities, is ideal for developing embedded Internet of Things (IoT) projects. With mini connectors and an unpopulated 40-pin GPIO, the Pi Zero W was designed to be as flexible and compact as possible.
The Raspberry Pi Zero W is powered by a 1GHz BCM2835 single-core processor with 512MB of RAM, the same as the B+ and A+. The Raspberry Pi Zero W is roughly four times faster than the original Raspberry Pi and costs a fraction of what the current RPi3 does.
The Raspberry Pi Zero W requires a little more setup than other Pis. Many of the connectors on the Pi Zero are not standard due to their small size.
