Product details
This module makes use of a Bosch environmental sensor that measures temperature and barometric pressure. It is an improvement to the well-liked BMP085/BMP180/BMP183 sensor of the following generation. The greatest low-cost precision sensing solution for measuring temperature with an accuracy of ±1.0°C and barometric pressure with an absolute accuracy of ±1 hPa is this Bosch precision sensor, which is excellent for a variety of weather sensing applications and can even be used in both I2C and SPI. You may also use it as an altimeter with an accuracy of ±1 meter because the pressure fluctuates with altitude and the data are so accurate.
With a low altitude noise of 0.25 m and the same quick conversion time as the BMP085/BMP180/BMP183, the BMP280 is the next generation of sensors. It can use SPI or I2C, but it has the same specs. Use I2C for straightforward wiring. Use SPI if you want to connect many sensors without having to worry about I2C address clashes.
